If there was another practice in Faringdon I would use it but there is not so I am stuck with the only one in town!!!!! Also have spotted that the same positive review has been posted 4 times. The moderator seems to be about as efficient as the rest of the practice. |

I have needed to contact this surgery twice in 2 weeks and I have found the doctors so kind and helpful, giving me both the time and treating me with both dignity and respect. I also found the lady doctor I saw really listened to my concerns and did not make me feel like I had wasted her time. I also felt involved in the Consultation. I have since been referred to secondary care for scans. When I called, I found the triage system very efficient and received a call back within a couple of hours, which I feel is impressive, as Doctors are also seeing patients as well as taking calls. The reception and dispensary team have also been extremely kind and their telephone manner is exemplary on all occasions. I have spoken to my son, his wife and both of my parents who are also impressed with this surgery, as is my husband. My daughter in law also commented on how lovely the Nurses were at this surgery. When I see bad reports about this surgery I think it is down to poor behaviour and ignorance- as the saying goes 'treat people how you would like to be treated!!' |

Over the last few years I have been to several surgeries as I have moved a fair bit. The system and setup of this surgery (now - maybe not when I first moved 3yrs ago...) is excellent and extremely helpful. 1) Triage system works very well, calls are answered quickly and a doctor calling back within the day is great, usually I’ve found it quick if calling on a morning, if later in day sometimes it’s a longer wait but that’s entirely fair enough as the doctors are also seeing patients! 2) call system great if you do not always need to attend an appointment, as it is incredibly useful not to have to travel into the surgery. 3) When attending waiting room is not packed full of people, when you have a compromised immune system and catch everything this is really helpful, as in past I have avoided go appointments for this reason,-: I would always catch something despite using the hand gel!! Waiting room is clean, open and cheerful, and because the doctors deal with patients who don’t need to attend on the day, and I assume they have a better booking in system, as waiting times seem less and there seems to be less time pressure when in appointments. 3) The doctor is fantastic I have felt treated with the utmost respect and care, despite having complex medical issues, I have felt that there is a can do attitude both in personal support and medical knowledge, plus willingness to go above and beyond to help me as a patient facing delays and stress from the hospitals. 4) You can access support from citizens advice at the surgery. 5) You can access support for mental stress of dealing with long term conditions within the surgery also - see a counsellor/therapist at the surgery. I will be accessing this as complex medical needs can take toll on your stress levels and mental health which is important also and nice that the doctors are providing a service which means patients don’t have to travel a long way for this support. All around I think this surgery is very very good. |
