I’m sure it’s the patients right to request to see(face to face) a doctor… telephone consultation is not affective enough, especially when it involves a 10 week old baby. This baby ended up having an ambulance called as mum was distressed that baby had been diagnosed with mild bronchiolitis and was in her mind deteriorating. She needed a second opinion as the doctor previously stated it would get worse before getting better. The poor little baby girl was so distressed trying to breath. Luckily mum called her mum… grandparent saw the child and called for an ambulance. Some people out there do not have others to call on. They depend on the local doctors appointments not waiting for calls and video calls. If the hospitals can see us why can’t doctors. I thought the government ruled that doctors can do face to face appointment??? | ||||||

Everyone of the staff are very accommodating. They go beyond above and beyond to make your life easier and more liveable. I have, at times, pushed them to their limit and they have always helped me to get through it. I only go to the Drs as and when I can't help myself and they've always got me through it. The Doctors sit and listen and by doing that, they achieve more than just writing a script. Everyone at Oak Hall are a credit to New Romney. They are my lifeline. | ||||||

Once you get to see a Doctor, they have provided a very good service.
The problem being, actually getting to see a Doctor. Tried calling several times and either get an engaged tone or a long winded answerphone message.
Eventually got through, to be told there are no appointments that day, but I can book one in 3 weeks time or try again the next day???? OK for me at this time, but absolutely useless when you need to see a doctor for a repeat prescription, like my partner
I understand the push to appear to reduce waiting times and I guess the easiest way is to not allow appointments to be booked.
I'm tempted to try another surgery but my previous surgery in another area was exactly the same. | ||||||
