Situated within a residential area of Woodchurch, Birkenhead, County Homes Care Home is a purpose built 90 bedded care home offering Dementia and Nursing care.
Meet the team
At HC-One our experienced Home Managers and members of staff ensure kindness is at the heart of everything we do.
We understand that meals are a very important part of our Residents’ day, our menus cover a variety of choices for each meal and a choice of snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are also available 24 hours a day.
Family and friends join Residents for meals which are served in one of our dining rooms or, if our Residents wish, they can choose to eat in the privacy of their own rooms.
Hobbies and interests
Our Activities Co-ordinators spend time with Residents to ensure popular pastimes are included within the weekly activities calendar, this includes:
• Arts and crafts
• Gardening
• Music therapy
• Flower arranging
• Baking
• Local school performances and shows
• Outings to nearby places of interest
• Themed events
• Weekly visits to community luncheon club
Many of our Residents find the one-on-one time with our members of staff particularly enjoyable.
Outdoor areas
Popular with Residents, our attractive courtyard garden is a great place for garden enthusiasts, who also enjoy helping to keep the outdoor area looking good.

Nov 3 2015 my father has been a resident here since may 2015 and his health and wellbeing has improved immensely due to the fantastic care and attention he has received on lancaster ward throughout his stay so far.commendation in particular goes to one member of staff who is amazing with my dad and totally gets his persona ! Its "pops" i'm talking about here so you know who i mean! appreciate you all so much! love my dad and know you all care for him as much as we as a family do ! thank you all so very much!
