Corona House Residential Home

I have been visiting a relative resident at Corona House for more than two years. In that time I have been consistently impressed by the care and kindness offered by the managers and staff. I have joined the residents for lunch several times and have found the meals very acceptable, being cooked on the premises from fresh ingredients. Menus are simple and traditional, but medical diets and dietary preferences are catered for. It is a small, very homely unit, and is ladies-only, which I think helps to create a sense of greater security, especially for the older and frailer residents. I believe it will offer convalescent and other short stay care when space permits. It does not accept new ladies already diagnosed with dementia but will try for as long as possible to nurse residents whose faculties deteriorate. The residents have opportunities for outings as well as activities at home including visiting entertainers and seasonal parties. I would not hesitate to recommend Corona House to anyone needing care for an elderly lady in the Prenton area.
