I spent quite a long time looking for an agency to look after my mother, who is able to do most things for herself but isn't always able to do everything without help. Home is the best place for her as she wants her independence and is still able to enjoy her own home. We would all hate the idea of a care home for her at this point. Despite looking at all of the local options for home care providers we couldn't find anyone that we all felt comfortable with. Caremark tick all the boxes. They are supported by a national structure, but the local agency in Merton is very friendly and understanding. My mum's needs definitely come first. She feels cared for and looked-after while we are at work and can't be with her ourselves. Medicine is never forgotten, chores are done for her and she always has her shopping. She has company when she needs it most and has the option of going out if she wants to. My mother is much less anxious about how she is managing and we hardly need to worry about how she is doing when we aren't there. A big thank you to Evelyn and Caremark for looking after our mum.
