Reception staff are friendly enough, however I have lots of issues with this practice. As new patients we did not have any check up, even though it was booked as " new patient appointment" when we saw the doctor he was dismissive and we had no blood pressure etc done. Recently I was awaiting consultant confirmation re drugs after waiting a week for a phone appointment and then booking to see a doctor ( another 2 weeks) then several weeks later I realised they had not got back to me. Paperwork showed the consultant had replied 3 weeks previous and I could have started the medication much sooner. The whole process took 6 weeks. Another issue -I was in severe pain at one point which had lasted over a week but I could not get an appointment so I had to go to A&E. I have lost all trust in this surgery |

Derrydown and Whitchurch Surgery (Two Rivers Partnership) provided my daughter with exceptional care when she presented with extraordinary worsensing and worrying symptoms over the course of a week. Even when we weren't able to be seen at Derrydown, we were passed straight to Whitchurch with seamless transition, even late on in the day at the end of the week. The doctors, nurses and receptionists involved were extremely committed to her welfare, which finally culminated in a next day appointment at Winchester Hospital. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend both Whitchurch and Derrydown to anybody. |

I am recently finding it very difficult to access care by the doctor when I need it. If you call for an appointment, you are more often than not given a good couple of weeks to wait which when you are poorly is not really acceptable. The GP's are being forced to spread thier net wider to cover larger areas due to shortages both physically and financially and thus leading to sub-standard care, very disappointing indeed! |
