So happy with this surgery since I moved here over a year ago. Friendly, helpful receptionists and the gp/nurses I have had throughout my pregnancy and now for my daughter too have been fantastic, kind, and go the extra mile to help. |

This practise is really let down by the support/admin staff. They are often rude, abrupt, dismissive or busy out of sight of the desk avoiding answering the phone. The fact you can only get test results within a one hour window each day is extremely unhelpful and causes lengthy delays on getting the phone answered. GPS are normally unwilling to complete any tests but more than happy to provide prescriptions. The fact that the surgery closes for over an hour at lunch time when there are normally at least 2 admin staff is just bad office management. |

The GP was a bit struggling about 3 years back around the time we moved into the village. But has been improving ever since. More doctors and other staff have been recruited. The staff are very friendly. You can manage to get a same day appointment to see a doctor urgently but does require calling them during the morning and hanging around on the phone for a while. But it is an acceptable experience given you don't have to do this often. When possible they even make sure you see the same doctor for a repeat visit for the problem. I feel that continuity of care is really important especially for children's illnesses. Routine appointments and repeat medication can be booked online which is convenient. All in all I would say currently it is thriving just like the village of Waterbeach. |
