    It seems not possible to get an appointment within three weeks yet every time you walk past the waiting room is empty.

    This is a great surgery, my family and I have been patients here for over 20 years. The triage nurses are very good, if a problem is genuinely urgent you can get an appointment, if a problem is non urgent and you are being reasonable it's easy to get an appointment that suits. There's never a problem being sent for any further investigations, blood tests, scsns, etc. All the staff at the practice are friendly and helpful.

    I tried ringing the surgery today from 8am to book an appointment the phone just kept ringing out on the 3rd attempt the phone was answered. When I starting to speak that I require a appointment the lady who answered the phone cut me off while I was speaking and said I have to ring on the day at 8 if I want appointment. I then went on to say I have just had a operation and need to see a doctor to discuss my results and medications. Only to be told I’ve already said that you have to ring on the day you want to have an appointment and see if we can get you in. .I went on to explain that I work shifts that I can’t just drop in anytime ,then the lady said that I can’t pre book an appointment, I have been a patient at this practice for 11 years ,in all that time I’ve been able to prebook an appointment, until now the lady was so unprofessional and rude on the phone even after I said ok then and said bye she didn’t say bye just put the phone down . I know they might be busy but there is no need to be rude and be so unprofessional and not offer an alternative option .

    We are very sorry that you felt the need to leave negative feedback. The Practice experienced excessive incoming calls the week prior and following the Easter break. Our staff endeavour to answer the calls as quickly as is possible, whilst also dealing with patients in the surgery. We do ask patients to ring in on the day for urgent appointments, however, if all appointments have been taken for that day we have an Urgent Clinicians Session that is manned by an on-call GP and Triage Nurse until 6.00pm for emergency cases. The surgery does off pre-bookable appointments for up to 3 weeks, but these often get booked very quickly. You say that you find it difficult to access the surgery due to working shifts, can we suggest that you contact reception to register for on-line services. We have discussed this comment with the staff that were on duty that day and none of them can recall any issues but if they appeared rude this was not their intention. Unfortunately, we cannot contact you direct as your comment has been left anonymously. Thank you.
