I am astounded that it looks like this practice is taking on new patients; it doesn't have anywhere near enough GP appointments for it existing patients. Using the automated phone line results in being told there are no bookable appointments in any of the groups surgeries or with any of the practice's Doctors in the foreseeable future. I have mobility problems but managed to get to the Goldthorpe surgery to ask for an appointment whenever the next bookable appointment was available, this was on 16th March; I got the next bookable appointment for 9th May !!! The receptionist kindly advised that I either try and get through by telephone at 8am every morning or join the queue that forms at reception before 8am every morning. I can barely walk some mornings, how am I going to get a lift before 8am and then stand and queue in the hope of an appointment. My issue is not an emergency and I would not take an appointment from somebody who needs to see a Doctor urgently, however I do need an appointment. Has anybody any suggestions of how I get an appointment within a reasonable time frame without adding to my pain and discomfort by having to queue, and then having to advise an unqualified receptionist my new symptoms and ongoing worries of opioid addiction? |

Absolutely disgraacful. My son is almost 11 months old and has been ill for 3 weeks now. I either get told I can't have an appointment for him because it's not an emergency (this is a gp not a and e) or on the one occasion I got to see a doctor gave me ridiculous advice..
Would not recommend this gp practice at all. Absolutely unreliable |

The GP themselves are ok its the receptionist that completely let this surgery down there extremely rude and unhelpful they give you miss leading/ conflicting information they act like their the actual doctors and each time you ring for an appointment they believe that they can decide whether the appointment is urgent or not. They make you feel like you don't want to go to the doctors. |
