Long wait on the telephone to book an appointment ( up to 30 minutes even if it says you are 1st in the queue).
Long wait for a routine appointment, especially if you want to see a GP. Usually two to three weeks.
Currently waiting for my little boys injections. with the nurse. It’s now 50 minutes past our appointment time and there is still a lady to be seen before us. | ||||||

This surgery was a lovely surgery until it joined with oaklands surgery, Now you can not get through on the telephone, going into the surgery you stand waiting 20 mins to half an hour to speak to a receptionist even if there is only one person already being served before you.. you can not get an appointment in under 3 weeks in most cases.
The doctors are very good and there is no problem with them , the problem is with how the surgery is being run.
We never had any of these problems at Yeovil health centre before the merger | ||||||

I wanted just to cancel an appointment on behalf on my brother but I couldn't say even a word because I was interrupted almost every word. The staff person repeated "your date of birth" until I gave her one and address and so on. I tried to add that the appointment wasn't done for me so I should give my brother's details, but the person didn't let me to say a word. I was told that there wasn't any notice in the computer with my details, so then I said it wasn't for me and that I had tried to explain at the beginning, but the person had not let me. At least a whole discussion was uncomfortable, because I couldn't said straight away what was the issues and the person was irritated with me because I tried to say something different from "your date of birth". I could explained easily in 3 sentences: That I'd like to cancel my brother's appointment for tomorrow (an hour) because he can't attend it (I'm his translator contact). But it took few minutes longer - It's pointless when so many people are waiting minutes in a queue over the phone. It has happened for the third time with the same person (I can recognized) and there weren't any issues with other staff when i've called to the surgery. | ||||||
