my GrandSon ( Jake ) an appointment with the doctor for 10 am this morning 2nd January 2019,
My son has had a chest infection and seen twice last week but the last antibiotic my son just kept bringing it back up the dr I’ve saw on Saturday said the left side was clear but the right wasn’t so put him a different antibiotic so because he couldn’t tolerate my mum got him an appointment for this morning after explaining the problem , my son is a very active little boy at 20 months old I was following him about in surgery while he was being a usual little boy , Yge doctor came out and totally embarrassed me telling me to keep my child under control as he was causing a danger to the other patients and that I should have him under control which I wanted the floor to open up , I then was called into the room for my sons appointment with this same Dr I explained about my son but I wasn’t allowed to speak any more as this Dr said after just listening to the top front of his chest told me is fine and that he’s is obviously is ok because I’ve just asked you to keep him under control, I asked if I could have his repeat inhalers that prevent his chest infections coming back and he basically told me that NO he wasn’t giving me them as he shouldn’t be on them as babies don’t get asthm, My son was put on these inhalers by three other Drs as my son has occurring chest infections because of his allergies , he told me he would be removing them
Off repeat and that if I needed them back on I would have to go through the hospital paediatricians , I felt so overwhelmed by how he had spoke to me I removed myself from the room with my son I was so angry , I have nothing but good praise for this surgery normally how it treats me and my mum all the staff are amazing but this Dr needs a lesson on how to speak to his patients with politeness and not to be rude and also take the time to listen to his patients before making a snap quick decision , my mum has rang up to ask to speak to the manager and he is calling back tomorrow as he isn’t back in till 3/1/19 |

This GP Practice is a complete joke. I call up for an appointment and after waiting ages for someone to pick the phone up at 8am they tell me to call back at 1:30, so I call on the dot and they tell me they have no available appointments so call back up the next day at 8am and this happens day after day. You have to book an appointment 3 weeks in advance to actually get a reasonable time as the receptionists do not take into account other people work full time. Also, each time I have an appointment I am told on the phone they are 'fully booked' but each time I go there Is maximum of 3 people waiting, last time I went which was yesterday and had to wait 4 WEEKS for, there was nobody waiting to be seen but that was apparently their only free slot.
Also, when ringing up the recpetionists take too long to answer to the point it cuts off and I have to keep trying, when I went to my appointment yesterday the reception phone rang 13 times and the lady working was ignoring it and just sat there, it is unacceptable. This GP takes too long to process things may I add, after ordering my repeat medication on Pharmacy2U for a new medication I need urgently, it got declined twice because the receptionists had not sorted out the letter from my nephrology consultant so they declined them and the GP I saw had to apologise on their behalf.
I would 100% NOT recommend this GP surgery as you have to argue on the phone until you get an appointment. They tell you they have none free but if you keep telling them over and over again to the point you are arguing they eventually say 'oh yes we have a free time at this hour today' its PATHETIC.
Everything about this GP surgery is a complete shambles. |
