I telephoned Wootton Vale on 26th July and was given an appointment date of 19th August at 16.50pm. Approximately 1 hour before the appointment I was contacted by text and called the surgery back to be informed that my appointment was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. I was then given another appointment time of 0830am on 21st August which I attended. Having waited for 45 minutes I was informed that the locum doctor had not arrived as planned and my appointment was again cancelled and re-arranged for 22nd August (tomorrow) At the time of my appointment other people were also being turned away. I have mentioned this to friends in the area and the lack of doctors seems to be a recurring theme as several other people I know have also had their appointments cancelled at short notice. Whilst the centre opens at 0800am I also noticed two Doctors arriving past 0900am? I would say however that the manageress was very polite at all times and very apologetic - I don't envy her the job of having to inform the patients |
