I cannot praise this surgery enough. They have helped me through a very difficult time, enhanced by severe anxieties around all things medical. They have taken into account my needs and coaxed me to a stage where I feel I can go to see them without feeling nauseous. I can talk to all the staff honestly now, (even the doctors if someone is with me) and everyone understands how difficult just being there is for me, allowing me to guide them in how comfortable I am with what's going on around me. I can honestly say that this is the first practice I have ever attended that has helped me, rather than hindered me. From walking through the door they are friendly, helpful and show a genuine interest.
I haven't come across a single doctor who doesn't wait for me to be ready to speak to them, rather than rushing me out of the door. I don't think I am the easiest of patients, but I've never been made to feel an inconvenience. Everyone at this practice is amazing. |

I am currently sheilding with my mum as I have urticarial vasculitis, a rare autoimmune condition which can be life threatening, as Boston has a high rate of cases and my daughter is a key worker, it was thought to be safer for me here, as my chances of survival is low should I catch covid. When I requested to register at surgery as I need regular medication (immunosuppressants) and regular blood tests. I was accused of demanding pills and treat like a drug addict, and that I had to wait 2 weeks before I could register, which by then I will have run out of meds. Her reply was, its not her problem, I was staring to panic as I also have severe anxiety and depression, causing me to cry and shake, this stress causes my vasculitis to flare causing my skin to come out in lesions. I feel she made an assumption that I was just a druggy demanding drugs. In reality if I don't get my meds, my immune system will then attack my lungs, my kidneys, my eyes and my brain, leaving bursts vessels and hemorrhages in its wake, which could potentially kill me. So I am disgusted by the way I was treated, and even if I was an addict, she still had no right to speak to me that way |
