I have been with Clee Medical Centre/Poplar Road Surgery since birth, 65 years ago. A lot has changed in that time but I would not consider going anywhere else. The receptionists are friendly and helpful doing a difficult job in testing times but I have no problems at all getting to see a Doctor if it is necessary, or a Telephone consultation if the Doctor does not need to see me. My only complaint, alongside everybody elses and not just confined to this practice is getting through on the telephone, but with a bit of patience you can normally get in to a queue within 15 minutes at which point you can select a call back rather than listening to recorded messages. I am not picky over which doctor I see and can only say how good the various doctors are that I have seen in the past two years, especially the trainee GPs who are so thorough and professional. To all the people who criticise Clee Medical Centre I say Go elsewhere, the grass wont be any greener, but you will be making room for genuine patients who appreciate the service provided. |

Absolutely awful and lacking very basic knowledge. I have had to pretty much hand hold the GP through the whole process after it was basically "sat on" for 2 weeks. Delays and very poor information and support from the surgery have lead to a severe decline in my mental health pushing anxiety through the roof and depression through the floor that lead to support requirement from the crisis team at Harrison House. Clinic at Sheffield have advised me to ditch this current surgery and seek a better alternative. Patients should not be required to tell the surgery how referrals should be carried out, this is a basic GP duty. And these people potentially are my care providers, wow. Telephone consultation carried out and i am lost for words to describe the ineptitude of so called professionals. |
