Barton central surgery sent a text to all its customers this week. It declaims that due to the strep A outbreak, of which we have 0 cases, and the paramedic strike (Affecting hospitals) it is only seeing emergencies for the next two weeks. Everyone else needs to call 111 or go see their local pharmacist. How ridicules is that. You go to the hospital for emergencies, not the doctors to begin with, so who exactly do they plan on seeing? who decides what an emergency is? There is no way I’m going to a pharmacy to discuss my illness with chemist! At a time we need doctors to be open, Barton central surgery is using even more excuses that don't effect them, to limit services access to qualified doctors even more. At this time, with all the strikes in the hospitals the Doctors need to be open and taking up some of the slack. Not piling more pressure on the emergency services and 111. | ||||||

Dialled their number over 100 times this morning before finally getting to the automated message which took over a minute to speak. as. slowly. as. possible. Only to then be position 17 in the queue! This isn't being busy, this is being incompetent. If any other business consistently disregarded their customer's needs to flagrantly they would go under in no time. To the Surgery, should they read this: its clear that the way you currently operate is not sustainable. Allow people to book online, or for an upcoming date if a non-emergency, or hire more staff. There are a wealth of alternatives to your current system, which is obviously broken | ||||||

Used to be registered with Central Surgery, as was my late husband. He died of cancer 2021 and when ge was on palliative care he was NEVER seen by a doctor. When he died a GP rang me up and asked if there were any suspicious circumstances- because a doctor had never seen him. That's because they wouldn't see him. They are DISGUSTING. Statistics say each person registered sees their GP 7 tines a year. They couldn't manage one for him. Just a nurse practitioner who told him he looked well - he was 7stone and covered in a rash. Not great medical deduction. | ||||||
