You can’t get an appointment within the next three weeks even if you’re feeling suicidal.

Suffered from a cat bite early hours Saturday morning, spoke to 111 and a pharmacist who advised if I can wait until Monday ring my gp. Which I kept an eye on the wounds and kept them clean but by time Monday came the infection had set in. Rang at 8am and was asked to send pictures of the wound before my phone call which I did. It got to 5.30pm no phone call? So I ring them and was in the queue got all the way down to next in line to speak to the staff by this point it was 5.45pm! Oh they hang up on me!! I ring back and wait in the queue, got to 5.55pm they answered I asked if I was still getting a phone call today? To be told the doctor had prescribed antibiotics (how was I meant to know if he hadn't bothered to ring me) BUT they can't trace the prescription after looking and looking they said maybe he has printed the prescription rather than sending to a chemist but not sure where the printed copy is? They said maybe he has put it in his briefcase and took it home?? The staff rang my normal chemist to ask if it was there and they were told no, I was told they will print a new prescription but there are no doctors to sign so ring back in the morning. I asked should I ring first thing and they advised I ring after 10am give them time to get it signed. I asked so what am I meant to do if its getting worse? Sit up the hospital they said yes! No wonder A&E are under so much stress! I ring back the next day and then said yes its been sent to the chemist it went yesterday (we know that's lies they are now trying to cover their tracks) so I went to the chemist around 11.30am and they had to do another download for it to come through so it clearly hadn't been sent the day before!! Absolutely appalling, this infection is getting worse and I'm glad my phone recalls all incoming and outgoing calls incase I do need to go to the hospital they can hear for themselves what it took just to get antibiotics!
