I've been a patient at this practice for a number of years, appointments are easy to get (or open surgery), staff are polite and friendly.
My only thing would be to let the patient have more control over their treatment rather than being dictated to for whatever reasons! I'm a person not a number | ||||||

I have been a patient of this practice since I was in my 20's. I am now nearly 60 years old. However, my recent experiences here have left me highly disappointed and in the process of serious considering changing surgeries. I don't have a lot of time off work but this year, in a new job, I have been struggling with work related stress and have needed to take sick leave. I am a mental health nurse and for me to go to the doctor to have time off work is not an easy thing for me to do, particularly in relation to my own mental health!! Unfortunately I have needed to do this twice this year, the last time I was so stressed that I felt that I needed to protect my registration. Did my docotor understand? No, most definitely not! Looking back they have always been reluctant for me to take time off work even with physical ailments (one of which necessitated two hospital admissions)! I am not a malingerer and should not have to psych myself up to ask for time off that I know I need. I start a new job very soon and am looking forward to returning to something that I am familiar with and a Trust that I know. The only reason I have remained with this practice is for the open morning surgery but some things are not worth the stress of being treated like a work shy malingerer! | ||||||

Myself and my children have been patients at this practice for several years the open surgery is amazing I have never had a GP service that has done this and it’s extremely helpful with working full time and for emergencies. One particular doctor and his staff have always been very helpful and always friendly they all make an effort to get to know their patients and their needs and preferences. My son suffers from ADHD and this doctor since we joined the practice has made a noticeable effort to get to know him, his needs and to gain greater knowledge of the condition which has had a positive effect on my son who now is comfortable going to see him. All staff within the practice listen to the patients and do their best to make every visit a positive experience and I would recommend this service to all. | ||||||
