I've been registered with this practice for 18 months and unfortunately had need of several appointments with GPs, nurses and their phlebotomist. Without fail, the care they've given has been superb. I've seen almost all GPs in the practice and they've treated me with respect and dignity. The prescribing nurse has also been caring and compassionate. The phlebotomist is one of the best I've ever encountered. Early on, I registered with the online app for making appointments and ordering repeat prescriptions and this made it very easy to communicate with the practice. By logging on at 8am, I've always been able to book a same-day appointment, and all my prescriptions have been issued correctly and sent electronically to the pharmacy of my choice. In reception, there is a touch-screen check-in which minimises interaction with reception staff, but when I have had cause to speak to reception they've been helpful and sorted out my query. I really can't fault the Padiham Group Practice. Thank you so much to everyone at the practice for their tireless work. Your efforts are much appreciated. |

Unfortunately the reviews given already appear to be accurate. The doctors and nurses are okay and professional but the rest can best be described as “could do better” like a poor school report. There seems to be a complete lack of understanding how to treat sick folks. We don’t go because we feel well but because we are under the weather or are commanded to go because the rules say so. I am prescribed pills “for life” but I got a letter saying that if I didn’t go they would be stopped. As the pressure of work builds up it only seems to get worse and worse and worse. I nearly added another “and worse” but three ought to convey my meaning. We are constantly bombarded with how many patients didn’t attend last month; well little wonder! |

I have been trying to get an appointment since 8am on the dot. I have tried ringing around 20 times and every single time, the phone line says line busy or it answers to be immediately hung up, sometimes after only one ring.
There is no queue waiting or anything just try again later or hang up with no information. How am I supposed to get an appointment like this?
I will be switching doctor's immediately.
I have only had one appointment with them but the reception staff were rude and abrupt when signing up and then the doctors were less than helpful and quite condescending when I did get an appointment. |
