Every single time I ring up (after being on hold for over 20 minutes) they inform me I am not registered at the surgery. There has been some confusion with the changeover to Park Surgery but having been a patient for 8 years, it is worrying that it takes several tries to even confirm that actually, I AM a patient. Finally get an appointment three weeks later, arrive and check in at the desk, end up waiting an hour and a half at which point other patients have come and gone. Approach the desk to see how much longer the wait will be and am told I never checked in and the receptionist I checked in with (confirming name and date of birth) does not recall ever seeing me! No apology, just reiterated that I definitely never checked in at the front desk. Unbelievably disorganised and poor patient relations. I was surprised to learn not all surgeries are as unhelpful and oblivious with regard to basic patient care. Will be looking to change surgery. |

I Recently was invited for a routine blood check.
The Nurse in clinic was alone there were a big number of people waiting their turn. Despite the very busy situation the Nurse was kind, efficient and cheerful with every patient and the result was telephoned to my house later the same day.
On a return visit a different Nurse was also very accommodating and the practice Nurse followed up the results to ensure that I understood the concern and was able to give advice.
A couple of weeks later my husband had a similar experience and was very satisfied and reassured in the same way.
We have always found the Reception Team to be very helpful and though fortunately we haven't needed the Doctor recently, in the past have always been advised well and treated professionally, kindly and with respect.
We offer our thanks and appreciation. |
