I am very disappointed with my visit to see one of the doctors at my surgery. I have never had a problem with the other doctor I see as who is very sympathetic and helpful and really seems to know their stuff. Basically I have been suffering with severe morning sickness which lasts all day and night. I can't look after my three children which upsets me and my partner has taken on everything himself as I can't even get out of bed most days only when I rush to the toilet to be sick. I can't keep any food down and as embarrassing as this sounds I am sick so violently I sometime wet myself therefore I asked the doctor for a sicknote for work because of my situation. The sicknote was for one week as I have suffered with this sickness for 5 weeks now and I had used all my annual leave in work which my manager allowed me to take while I was so sick as he had witnessed how bad I was and that I was unable to work at this time. I had explained to the doctor how stressed I had become with being constantly sick for 5 weeks which is something that can't be helped at the beginning stage of pregnancy and they sort of just smirked at me which I found very rude. I know not everyone gets severely sick when they are first pregnant and no one will understand just how bad it is unless they have experienced it themselves therefore I don't believe anyone should be judged for this. Obviously I understand that this sickness is a sign of a healthy pregnancy and I wouldn't want anything less for my baby but I was told to just be thankful as it's not a really illness and therefor I am not entitled to a sicknote even though the other doctor had said to me the week before after prescribing me sickness medication that they would be happy to give me a sicknote if the tablets don't help which they didn't. I am going to make a complaint to the practice manager as I am disgusted with the way I was treated. The doctor did not show any sympathy at all and I feel I had confided in them and I was ignored and found them very rude! | ||||||

Been with this surgery since nov 2015.
Best surgery I have been in 46 yrs..
Both doctors have very polite and careing mannerisms
