North Huyton Primary Care Resource Centre (Aston Healthcare)

I am 23 weeks pregnant went to see my GP on the 24/01/14 as I haven't been feeling to good I have been feeling really tired and sick that week also thought I might of had a water infection. I took in an water sample to my appointment asked if they could check it as I think I may have water infection and I was explaining how I have been feeling too. The GP checked it, I had water infection so they wrote me out some medication. When I got home I read the leaflet before taking the tablets it said you should not have if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. I rang up my doctors right away gave them the name of the tablets also told them what the leaflet said the staff on the desk wrote it all down then phoned me right back said the doctor said 'not to take the medication and to come back that evening for different tablets'. I wasn't very happy with this as I thought that the doctor should of read by notes or asked me if I was ok to have the medication they described for me also I thought they should of listened to me more of how I was feeling and maybe checked my blood pressure. I feel when they seen I had an water infection that's all they were going to deal with. When I went in that evening for my new medication I explained to receptionist on the desk I wasn't very happy as I am pregnant the doctor should read my notes, I asked how can I complain they were snotty and told me I had to make appointment to speak to the doctor about it. when I said ok they just walked off, went in office came back out with appointment for the 29/01/14 at 10 am. I don't feel comfortable going to this appointment to make complaint to my doctor face to face as it will only be me and them in the room. I feel like this isn't right.
