Literally sick to death of this surgery. I’ve been going there since I was a child and over the years it’s just gotten worse and worse. I can’t even count the number of mistakes which are solely down to poor reception staff and general lack of communication. The latest being issues getting my repeat prescriptions for what feels like the hundredth time. This time it’s “you need a medication review before you can have them” awesome, 1. I had one literally about a month ago “no you didn’t” pretty sure I did, I was in fact there when it happened... not to mention the fact they inform me of this the night before my medication was due in the pharmacy. Brilliant. I get ill without my medication and they didn’t seem to care about that, will they reimburse me when I have to take tomorrow off of work because my head is down the toilet? This one of a million issues, timekeeping my major pet peeve, book an appointment for three weeks after requested at a time that’s already inconvenient, then they keep you waiting an hour! It’s a shame because half of the reception staff are lovely, most of the doctors are decent but this surgery is becoming a joke! |

I arrived for my 12:40 appointment at 12:30, went straight to reception and booked myself in with the receptionist. I thought they were quite rude and assertive for no reason whilst continuing their conversation with someone else and seeing me and I did not feel welcomed by them at all. I then proceeded to wait almost an hour and a half for my appointment until at 13:50 I decided to ask the receptionist (who was lovely, as the previous receptionist had left) how much longer I’d have to wait. They asked for my name and after looking on their computer, they told me I had not been booked in on arrival, even thought I’d gone straight to reception when I got there and let them know I was there, so they’d skipped past my appointment assuming I had not turned up. This was no one else but the first receptionist’s fault and I was not happy about wasting an hour and a half of my time waiting for an appointment that had been and gone. I did not enquire about the lateness of my appointment earlier as I was fully aware of how stretched the NHS GP surgeries are, and did not want to seem like I was complaining. I was not happy with the service I received from the receptionist today. Although I would like to point out that the second receptionist and the doctor I eventually saw, did everything they could to make the situation better even thought it was neither of their faults. Waste of time.
if you can get an answer it will be from a rude receptionist who will what to know your medical history and still tell you that you will need to wait a month to see a doctor.
Can`t count the amount of times they have made a mistake with my prescription. |
