I have been a patient at the surgery for approximately 3 years and during this time I have found the medical and non medical staff to be very helpful, honest , encouraging, and listen, and I can say that they have helped my help myself with my own health issues. They are always extremely busy but I would recommend this surgery 100 % only based on my own experience. |

At a time when radio programmes and other media are focusing on the difficulties of getting to see a GP, I have to say this is far from my experience at this very well-run large practice. Reception and telephone staff have been unfailingly pleasant and helpful, doctors and practice nurses, though very busy, never give the impression that they don't have time for you and are always attentive and thorough. Several recent visits and telephone calls for help and advice (for different reasons), could not have been better experiences. It is good to have such excellent provision so close to home. If there are problems for people getting appointments, it should be taken into account that a lot of patients fail to turn up for appointments - this practice had a notice up saying there had been 122 missed appointments in August. Of course a small proportion may have been unavoidable, but still there could have been over 100 that might have been given to someone else. Numbers of this kind indicate that patients have some responsibility too, if there are people not getting appointments as quickly as they would like. |

Generally excellent service, especially in emergencies, but seem to be having problems with lots of doctors away on holiday at the same time plus a phone system problem. Finally got through to a very stressed receptionist who got me an appointment in four days time. (Didn't feel it was emergency which they could have got me in for) Hope this is just a one off. |
