I have been a patient at this practice for over 16 years, and have always received excellent care from the GP's, the reception staff and all the other staff at this practice. The staff are friendly, kind and very compassionate. They are easy to talk to and make every effort to help you in any way they can.The GP's listen to you, they don't rush you out of their office but rather pay attention to your needs and the reason for your visit. I have recommended this practice to every member of my family along with my neighbours. This is a practice with a heart for its patients and the community. I have been years on this GP but the last 2 years they failed me miserably, I went on 2018 to a dcotor feeling awful she asked for a kidney function blood test and was detected that I have Chronic Kidney Disease but when I went to a consultation the dr. Told me that everything was normal, month after month I complained about many symptoms I was feeling and then 3 months after they decided to redo my blood test and add some others, my kidney function was way worse than at first and many abnormalities were found on the new blood test I literally had to fight with them every single time to have an investigation or to be referred to a specialist at the end between Abril 2018 and January 2019 I was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis neck, knees and spine (Which was detected due to an MRI requested by my nephrologist not GP), fibromyalgia, fatty liver (which was detected only due to an ultrasound requested by my nephrologist not GP), uterus fibroids (Which was detected by an MRI requested by nephrologist not my GP), chronic kidney disease and MGUS (Which was only detected due to a blood test done by my nephrologist not the GP) . I wouldn’t recommend this GP not even for my worst enemy, so just changed my GP because I can’t deal with them no more enough is enough, playing with people lives like that is absurd! Reply from Oakview Family Practice Thu, 28 Feb 2019 13:55:26 Z I am sorry that you have not been happy with your care here at Oakview. As you have not left your name I am unable to look into the details of your case and in any case would not wish to comment on medical details on a public website so I am not in a position to respond in any detail to your review other than to say that currently in Lewisham GPs do not have direct access to any MRI investigations and we do have to refer to specialists who will then request these investigations which it would appear in your case we had done. However, please do get in touch with us directly if you would like us to look into this and respond to the issues you have raised. |
