Weakness here with the practice (which talking to friends is fairly typical with this area ) is the difficulty in getting through on the phone, often with no on line appointments available or those that are available are 2/3 weeks ahead. However continue trying on line as it appears that appointments that are cancelled by patients close to the appointment date may be released back on line.... and you may be lucky. However the practice once you get an appointment is generally well run, with a pleasant and organised waiting area. The star turns are the GPs themselves. Have been with this practice for over 30 years and though you can see the increasing pressures and volumes of appointments in recent years the doctors themselves continue to offer an exceptionally good service. Pleasant manner, caring and sympathetic and will listen to concerns and involve you in your treatment plan. This review is based on experience with recent appointments with three different GPs from the practice. It's great to hear that you are satisfied with the service our GPs offer which is reflected by the fact you have been with us for 30 years! I take your point about difficulties with getting through on the phone. Our receptionists answer calls as fast as they can but obviously, at the busiest times of the day, it may be problematic to get through quickly. We offer a high percentage of appointments online but it is not possible to book more than two weeks ahead, so you won't find any for 3 weeks ahead. It's always worth re-checking to see if appointments become available from cancellations as you say. There is a high demand for GP appointments presently which is we are rolling out care navigation for patients. A GP appointment may not always be the best option and our receptionists have been trained to ask patients questions so they can signpost them to the correct service. There are many services within Bromley to which patients can self-refer but they may be unaware of this. Please tell your admin staff who deal with prescriptions how brilliant they are. The online Service is amazing. I request repeat medication and within a very short while it’s ready to collect in record time.So a very big thank you |

This review is only about my recent experience with the reception staff. There was a young man who was incredibly helpful and kind in locating information that I needed. It was of a sensitive nature and he was completely professional and empathetic. He had to ask another member of staff to assist and she was similarly lovely. It can be frustrating trying to get through to the surgery but if you go in and speak to the staff at the front desk, they are fantastic (and I am sure have to put up with a great number of difficult and demanding patients) so I wanted to recognise their efforts on this occasion and say it was greatly appreciated! |
