Pretty useless as general practitioners, too rushed and some doctors have a dont care attitude and just want to get you out of the room |

Everyone should know that this once thriving general practice is now so unfit for purpose I don’t know why they are still open. Over the 30+ years I have been registered there, and the 50+ years my mother in law has been registered there, as well as all our family, it was outstanding. No more. It is dire. You can’t get through for ages, and when you do you can never get an appointment at all: if you’re going to get seriously ill, I would recommend booking now for February/March next year. The receptionists used to be compassionate and helpful; now, they really couldn’t give a stuff. On Monday, after 2 frantic calls pleading for a simple urine test for a clear case of a uti for my 88-year-old (cancer-ridden, housebound) mother in law, that I was even prepared to administer and bring to them myself, the receptionist told me there was nothing they could do, and to dial 999. She was having terrifying hallucinations; it had harkened countless times before, and all we needed was a urine test to confirm it (which it was, at 7pm that night by the rapid response team, after phone calls all day long since 8am when they opened). What a waste of resources. What a terrible decline and how many lives and illnesses have they impacted with this complete lack of care? I will report this to the Quality Commission.. it’s too dreadful not to do so. |
