My family and I have been with Station Rd Surgery since moving to the area. The care and attention has been second to none. Outstanding.
Appointments have been given online and on the day on every occasions and even when you see a different doctor from the practice, efficiency and continued care has been give with accurate note taking helping each other providing a smooth hand over of my care.
I highly recommend Station Rd Surgery
Polite and efficient service is given from the Reception, Doctors and Nurses.
The Nurses saved my mother’s life sending her for a routine mammogram detecting early stages of breast cancer. Immediate care and a full recovery. Thank you |

I receive regular notifications and reminders by text, which is good.
Following a recent text I tried to phone to book a flu jab and diabetes appointment. From being number 10 in the queue I patiently waited 45 minutes to finally be whittled down to number 1. Then another message and more music and I have now been stuck in a second queue for 35 minutes waiting to be connected to the appointment receptionist. I realise the NHS is underfunded and has pressures but there must be a more efficient phone booking process. |

We recently registered with this practice and it’s impossible to get an appointment. Appointments are booked up 5 weeks in advance and apparently you can get an appointment on the day if you try at 8am. I have tried on several occasions and I haven’t been able to.
I explained I needed an urgent prescription. The receptionist said the Dr would call me back to discuss it over the phone. The receptionist called back later and said the Dr said no, I simply need to come and wait to see her. The receptionists are so rude and unhelpful. Have moved to a different surgery. The receptionist should have given you details of our online services where you can book and cancel appointments and also request prescriptions. As a new patient, the doctor would normally want to see you to review your medication. I am sorry you felt the receptionists were rude and unhelpful, they do have full customer service training and this is reviewed each year at their annual appraisals. I am always available to discuss any problems of a non medical nature with patients and feel sure I would have been able to help you. I hope you will be happy with your new surgery.
