Is it correct we are charged for telephone calls we make to Martello to make an appointment. It would appear from my telephone bill I have incurred a charge of £10+ calling, to make an appointment. If this is correct it is outrageous. Please reply to confirm these charges are correct |

I have just recieved my telephone bill and see I have incurred charges of £10+ for telephone calls I made to you to make an appointment. I am shocked. Is ths correct that we are charged for callng to make an appointment?. Please confirm if this is the case and how much the rate is oer minute. Much of the time I was waiting to be connected to appointments. If ths is the case, then the only way to make an appointment for that day without incurring any call chaege, is to walk to the surgery by 8 a.m. I await your response. Regards Linda Turner |

Spent up to an hour in the queue for appointments on 3 consecutive days to be told no apts left, try again tomorrow. Suggested I see pharmacist, who told me I need to speak to a doctor. Another suggestion to call 111. Did this twice. First time on the line1 hr. No answer. Second time after long wait, suggested I see a pharmacist (see previous comment). Told I would receive GP call - never happened. Called 999, explained situation, was advised urgent treatment required - but advised ambulance would 7+ hours. Went to A&E by car treated with high dose antibiotics and told to see GP to arrange a scan + blood test. Waited in queue on line 45 mins. No apts. ring back tomorrow!! |
