Theresa the receptionist was so rude. I came in to explain that they keep ringing my number instead of my daughters after my daughter had changed it like 4 times with surgery over the phone. She completely rolled her eyes, shock her head and spoke to me like I was something on the bottom of her shoe. Ignored me and spoke directly to my daughter like I wasn’t there to ask her her date of birth. At the end of the day it was their error in not updating phone number. Maybe she shouldn’t work on reception if she doesn’t know how to communicate with people properly. After my daughter had finished updating her details. The receptionist gave me, an adult and mother to my 18 year old daughter (who has every right to be there) a dirty look. Wow I’ve never experience being treated like that | ||||||

Summerhill Surgery has recently updated their website, changed it. The site no longer works. It is impossible to leave the front page. Try and order a repeat prescription and nothing happens. Try and see opening hours and nothing happens. I had to drive to the surgery to place a repeat prescription request. I reported the problem with the website and clearly nothing has been done about it.
Due to lack of doctors they were accepting emergency appointments only. No shortage of civilian staff. How long can this surgery go on with only one doctor. | ||||||

Why is this surgery taking on new patients when it carnt cope with the ones it has?
I have tried to get an appointment, written letters, sent recorded and i think they just bin them.
One member of staff should be the first person one complains to , (one dont have to) .
There are many sick people who have to phone 8-30 in the morning only to be told to phone back the next day, there are no next day/week appointments.
If one is unhappy with the outcome of their complaint or doesnt want to go that way one can contact the CCG, (clinical commissioning group).

Credit where its due and i have found the doctors/ nurses and staff very good when one can get to see one, its getting to see one.
With over 6000 patients registered with this surgery and only one full time doctor no wonder the receptionists are somewhat off hand so to speak,.
Perhaps another couple of Doctors would help. | ||||||
