its The worst surgery I have ever been to. The receptionists are unhelpful.at times rude..The time it takes to get through on the telephone is a disgrace. You phone to be told your 5 th or 6th in the queue. 20 minutes or so later you’re still 5th or 6th. Then you’re told if you want a pm appt you have to phone after 12. Was 8 mins late for appt. due to traffic was told couldn’t be seen. I said speak to the doctor please. It was a locum who 30 minutes of my waiting still refused.absolutely disgusting. Couldn’t make another appt. .Had to go through the telephone ?? problem once again to make an appointment. When ever I go to the surgery there are complaints the whole time. Surely this shouldn’t be happening. Think the receptionists should be trained thoroughly and have compassion. If they don’t like the job they shouldn’t be doing it. There’s plenty of people that want to work. Wouldn’t recommend this practice to anyone | ||||||

I am appauled by the rudeness of the receptionists here. Wait times are ridiculous both on the phone and for an appointment. There is a real sense of 'we just don't care' I will be moving to another practice. Such a shame as we visit the GP when we are most vulnerable. | ||||||

Since moving from Park Lodge, I find that there is still the problem of 40 minute waits on the phone and no ‘non-urgent’ appointments for over 2 weeks. Despite this, the Practice is still taking on new patients. Also have ongoing problems with both obtaining repeat prescriptions and getting them sent to my pharmacy. They’re cutting back on prescriptions of all kinds and this even extends to life-saving medication for children’s allergies. Nurses are fabulous and all the doctors I’ve seen are very good unless, of course, you’d like to be referred for investigations. They’re very happy to prescribe painkillers and print out physio exercises. After 10 months of this, my condition has deteriorated and I have now been given a very limited referral with a further wait of 11 weeks for a first appointment. I understand that the policy of Enfield CCG is now to encourage GP’s not to refer and give back 50% of the savings to the GP practice so this is not entirely the fault of the Practice but I do worry that this policy will inevitably lead to tragic consequences for someone. But this is where we are with our NHS now - no focus on early diagnosis or prevention which in the long run would be more cost effective. Although this very much depends on where you live. A family member in Surrey with a similar problem to mine was referred to a physio in her surgery within days and was also given a free gym membership when it was discovered she was pre-diabetic. I have no doubt that Park Lodge is acting within the constraints of the NHS but as a patient on the receiving end, it makes you feel very vulnerable. | ||||||
