I have recently had to visit the surgery a few times which is unusual for us and I have been really impressed at how helpful the reception and pharmacy staff have been in particular. It is not always easy for me to get to the doctors due to work commitments and they have been incredibly helpful and patient on the phone in order to help. The practice nurse is a great idea and she is very good, as is our usual doctor. Very happy with the service received! My elderly parents moved to the area in June so I could support them. This meant changing GP surgery after forty years.
My parents have been overwhelmed by the kindness and compassion shown to them by everyone in both the surgery and attached pharmacy. I have been with my parents into some of their consultations, and have, as a nurse myself, been very impressed by both the patience of the doctors whilst giving careful explanations of different conditions and impressed with the medical knowledge of multiple conditions.
On many an occasion the reception staff, practice nurse, or pharmacist has telephoned my father to sort out problems when he’s been confused, and I would like to thank them for that.
As I say Compassionate NHS at its very best, and the staff should be proud.
