I finally got through to making an appointment and admitted due to long lane traffic I was 15 minutes late tfoe the appointment I was told to sit and wait and see if the doctor is happy to still see me, 15 minutes later the receptionist calls me over and says no the doctor refuses to see me as I was late.
I asked if I can sit & wait or make another appointment today, tomorrow or Friday and told no as all appointments booked for the next 2 weeks and only emergency appointments are available on the day if you manage to get through at either 8.50am or 2.15pm and I can tell you the phone is constantly engaged from previous experiences.
I would be happy if another appointment was made for me but the fact that on every occasion when I’ve been to see the doctor I have arrived before my scheduled time and most often than not had to wait at least 15 minutes or more and I have never complained to the doctor.
I have sent them an email with the level of service as I think they should be made aware of such situations. |

This surgery has adopted the "One problem per visit" what a joke when you have a multi facet problem like Diabetes. which can present many different problems. Went in with a problem with my tablets and at the same time a problem with bone on bone Arthritis. I was told by the doctor (female) that I could only have one treated per appointment?? Would not have minded but she was running 15 minutes late for her first appointment (Me) I now see another Doctor at the same practice who treats the patient without an eye on the clock.
It's also almost impossible to get a routine appointment, every time I phone for one I'm informed that the Doctors have not released any as yet. Normally I'm informed I should watch online for when the appointments are released, quick-ist one I've had has been over a week and that would appear to have been a cancellation. I don't think I've ever had an appointment that's been within 10 of the allotted time If I ran my business in this manor, I'd have gone bankrupt many years ago. |

Although they have 4 phone lines, it took me almost 1 hour just to get an appointment (Mondays' are the worst).
When you finally get through all the booking times would be fully booked for the same day!
They won't give an appointment for the next day because they block out times for emergencies.
From my last phone call the 2 main doctors was fully booked for 2 weeks!
They need to either offer an online booking system because ringing in for an appointment is impossible.
More doctors are required as the waiting times are insane. |
