Awful service. My elderly, housebound neighbour was told they couldn’t deliver her prescription. She asked me if I could collect it as she was extremely unwell . I arrived at the pharmacy at around 1.30pm , 1 person at the counter , 1 person in front of me and 4 staff in the shop. The young female serving was unbelievably slow, and it took her at least 5 minutes to locate the prescription for the lady in front of me and then told her she had to wait as the pharmacist was at lunch. The lady in front explained that she was collecting on behalf of her brother as he had also been told that they were unable to deliver and couldn’t understand why the prescription wasn’t ready. The young , slow female assistant called her “love” several times which is just awful. A young man then called me forward ( I’d been waiting about ten minutes at this point) I gave him my neighbours info, he the disappeared for 5 minutes , eventually returned and told me I would have to wait “about 10-15 minutes” . I pointed out that my neighbour had been told it was ready so why was I having to wait? I was told that they hadn’t told her that ...but how else would she know that her prescription couldn’t be delivered ? To cut a long story short, there’s a reason that I never use this pharmacy , the staff are unhelpful and the young female member of staff had a dreadful attitude. I asked for the name of the manager to be written down , they refused, I asked them to spell it for me m they refused. I suggested that as they now has several people in their shop waiting “ about ten to fifteen minutes “ for prescriptions, that they go and ask the pharmacist to cut short her lunch and get the prescriptions sorted. I was told “ oh we can’t do that , she must have her lunch break” . It turns out the pharmacist was sitting Judy behind a glass door right next to the counter so she must have heard what was going on and did nothing. The staff are slow and the processes they have in place are totally inefficient and ineffective. A member of staff eventually interrupted the pharmacist on her lunch and asked her to sort out the prescriptions. All in all I was in there around 30 minutes ....absolutely shocking. Dreadful customer service, dreadful processes, staff with attitude and zero empathy and an absolute lack of common sense to send your one and only pharmacist off on her lunch break at what is clearly your busiest time of day. Hopeless ...and looking at the stock on the shelves whilst I was waiting for 30 minutes , hideously overpriced. Terrible experience.
