Following several attempts to get my repeat prescription processed on time and with correct quantity, I have finally given up and decided to register elsewhere. The last straw was when they wanted to charge me for a prescription that they requested to cover a shortfall for 2 weeks having only issued me 6 weeks supply rather than the 8 weeks my repeat prescription is for - I put this down to poor record keeping. Ability to provide a consistent, quality service is hampered by the fact that on most occasions I would see a completely new person at the counter - they either have great difficulty hiring permanent staff and rely heavily on temporary personnel or they have a very strange rota system - regardless, this doesn't help when trying to fix a recurring issue. This probably also accounts for the distinct lack of empathy being shown with a shrug of the shoulders when I finally gave up and said I'm going elsewhere. Shame really, in other respects I shop regularly at this ASDA store and this experience leaves a bad taste ...

Visited this pharmacy today and was treated practically like a criminal. I kindly requested OTC pain-killers and was naturally asked a few detailed questions. I explained that the medication was for someone else- I would like to stress that I had visited the pharmacy the previous week and had purchased the exact same medication for myself- and that the person needed them for back pain and pain in one leg. The person serving mentioned the fact that she had remembered me purchasing last week and that she would have to refer it to the pharmacist. Fair enough I thought and waited patiently. The pharmacist came out and began to ask me similar questions. I explained that the person in pain had tried Ibuprofen but that the pain was still very intense. The Pharm' then began to presume that Ibuprofen SHOULD work for the pain and found it strange that Ibuprofen wasn't working. Then proceeded to display a very, very cold demeanour, coupled with a dismissive attitude.... The point is that the benefit of the doubt should be given to customers. It can easily be the case that someone needs to revisit a shop, place etc to repurchase an identical item, for another person. Which is exactly what I was doing. I would urge and encourage the staff at the Pharmacy, including the Pharmacist serving at the time, to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Whether I was served or refused service the pharmacy's good conduct and good behaviour should continue to be demonstrated. I am very upset about how I was treated and hope that this type of behaviour will not reoccur. I must make clear that my overall experience at Asda has and is always a pleasent one. My intentions are not to hurt anyone's feelings but to promote unity and understanding!

Incorrectly refused Covid Vaccine -- DO NOT ATTEND! I am group 6 (immune compromised; plus highly complex PTSD -- hospitalised recently), and I am now at **195 days** after my 2nd dose of vaccine. I booked online via the NHS website. I attended the vaccination centre at Asda Smethwick with my booking reference, text message, proof of immune compromise (but not the letter). I was TURNED AWAY as told I was 4 DAYS TOO EARLY! I am hearing impaired, a white cane user, have an excruciating pain issue, immune compromise, highly complex PTSD with dissociative disorder. The journey is two hours on public transport, which puts me at risk for falls and developing sepsis (10% rate of death within 72 hours of getting any bacterial infection). I brought proof of my immune status. Due to my mental health, I have no idea where any letters are. My mother telephoned 119, who said the supervisor should have let me have the vaccination. Yet the supervisor still told my mother I had to return in five days. This now means I have to choose between the Covid vaccine, and two long awaited specialist appointments which are vital for my other conditions. The workers didn't even understand when told the name of my immune issue (a type of bone marrow failure, akin to leukaemia). DO NOT ATTEND THIS VACCINATION CENTRE. THEY ARE EVIDENTLY NOT MEDICALLY TRAINED.
