I ordered my repeat prescription on Sunday 10th April when I had 8 days' of tablets remaining and was told it could be collected after 2pm on Thursday. I wasn't able to go on that afternoon, but planned to go the following day. When I accessed the KMP website on Thursday afternoon to check Easter opening times there was no mention of Easter opening restrictions so I assumed there were none that might affect me, and so I didn't ask anyone to collect on my behalf. When I got to Friday morning I discovered that the surgery & dispensary were closed and I realized that I didn't have enough medication to last till Tuesday. My main concern was not getting Losartan for my blood pressure. If the KMP is to close it's services for 4 days then I think it would have been far better to have put a reminder on the website to that effect, then I could have asked someone to collect my prescription. I think this is a very poor lack of communication and not at all helpful in this matter. I expected a better & more professional service from KMP.

After commenting what a wonderful service on a Sunday I got a rather disappointing response their dispensing error. When I got home I found the quantity the box should contain was a 21, this was crossed out and 28 manually written on the box. Actually in the box was 18 capsules. Given that my Rx was for 21 I was left short of Antibiotics. The pharmacist expected me to go back to the pharmacy and verify HIS error and collect the missing drugs. I am I’ll, I had to get someone to bring me to the out of hour pharmacy...becauseI was too ill to drive! Following and emergency appointment. I offered several times, I’ll send you a photo of YOUR ERROR. It took a number of arguments and a threat to speak to the owner before the locum pharmacist said he was going to send me the missing 3 capsule. Surely as a pharmacist you know the importance of completing the course. Please take responsibility for your errors and don’t expect I’ll people or old a frail to correct them. I would have emailed you privately but they would not provide me an email address where I could express my concerns.
