The care we offer
A nursing and residential home, Knights Grove has been specifically designed to meet the needs of people with dementia. We offer long term care and respite as well as convalescence, palliative care, and care for people with Parkinsons disease.
Our standards of care are first-rate. We employ registered nurses including mental health nurses and highly trained care assistants who provide 24-hour professional support.
Key features of Knights Grove
>The interior of Knights Grove has been decorated and furnished to ensure the home is visually appealing and stimulating. All corridors have memory triggers including vibrant colours to aid residents& orientation, and themes such as eye-catching pictures and bright floral prints.
The communal areas around the home have interesting items to touch and feel. For example statues and wall hangings in a variety of fabrics and textures. Doors to resident areas are painted in strong colours. Those to other non-public areas are painted in lighter colours to act as a prompt and aid memory.
Bedrooms >>
The bedrooms feature ensuite facilities and are decorated in calming pastel colours. All have 24-hour call systems, underfloor heating, aerials and smoke detectors. Some of the bedrooms have views of the delightful landscaped gardens. We encourage residents to personalise their rooms with their own pictures, photographs and ornaments to make them even more homely.
There is a memory box outside each residents bedroom which can be filled with personal items such as photographs, certificates, and other memory triggers. These can provide a link with the persons past and provide prompts for staff and visitors, and the opportunity to reminisce about the residents life.
Garden
Knights Grove has secure wheelchair accessible landscaped gardens, which residents enjoy on warm sunny days.
