Cedar Lawn Nursing Home

My elderly mum suddenly needed full nursing care, we visited several homes in the Romsey area and this was by far the nicest on first impressions. It's warm, clean and has the appearance inside and out of a large guest house. The staff were friendly and were more than happy when we visited to show us around. We decided to take the only available room for mum, which isn't huge but has all she needs. We've been able to put some of her own things in the room to make it more 'hers'. Mum's only been there a short time but we've been impressed so far by the caring and clearly competent staff, she's enjoying the food and she's warm, clean and comfortable. A minor infection was picked up straight away by the matron, the Dr called and antibiotics given to mum within a very short time. I was kept updated throughout. I've noticed lots of visitors in and out all the time which in itself is comforting when you're trusting others with the care of your loved ones, it's a very open sort of place.
