We contacted a number of care providers in the Ryde area before choosing Wight Home Care. We were not disappointed. Apart from being very professional and responsive the support and backup we received was above and beyond anything we could have wanted or expected.
Right from the outset, people turned up when they said they would, treated us with respect, empathy and with a caring attitude and went about their business under any prevailing circumstances. As mum fell more incapacitated and unable to help herself, Wight Home Care enabled an ever changing care provision that took care of her needs and wishes and provided the support we all needed to make sure mum was in the best place she could be...and for her, that was at home.
We had a small number of carers who attended but generally we saw the same people at the same time every day and that was a welcome relief. When specialist support and equipment was needed, Wight Home Care just seemed to take it in their stride and without fuss or disruption organised both people to visit (doctors, nurses etc) and equipment to be provided and delivered. It just seemed that they could not do enough for mum and I cannot thank them in any sufficient way that would repay their dedication.
Wight Home Care provided valuable support for about 6 months before mum finally lost her battle with cancer and it would be hard to imagine not having had their wonderful help and support throughout that time.
In the end, mum passed away peacefully and we said goodbye to Wight Home Care but that wasn't quite the end.... a personally signed card arrived from the carers a few days later and it was with some surprise that I met with two of them on the day of the funeral when they attended the crematorium personally for the service for mum.
I've seen reviews for this company elsewhere and it does not surprise me one bit they were all positive and glowing. Wight Home Care seem to have found a way, in our experience, to remain professional and organised with well trained staff but at the same time keep that caring attitude that so often has been lost these days.
Thank you Wight Home Care for your support and effort to deliver care for our mum at our home that is almost certainly unrivalled on the Isle of Wight.
For us, we could not have chosen a better care provider. |
