My mother recently became ill overnight and I needed to get to the GP surgery as soon as possible in the morning. I left a message very early in the morning asking the team at Sarah's Carers if they could help by arranging care support earlier than the normal start time. They responded very quickly confirming that the carer would be arriving shortly to enable me to attend the GP surgery. The carer arrived and was concerned to help in whatever way they could. It was wonderful to have such a prompt and professional response.
We have found the team at Sara's Carers to be very kind and professional in their approach to care and we would like to thank them very much for their support. |

A few weeks ago, I needed to get care in place for my parents, I emailed a couple of national companies and have never had a reply.
So, I looked for local companies and the 1st one was Sarah's Carers who are based only 4 miles from where my parents live.
I phoned them and spoke to the owner and I had a meeting with them within 2 days to go over my parents needs and requirements.
Then a member of the team, who came out to meet and assess my parents this was dine and a care package was out in place for 1 hour a day 5 days a week, this was great as I had peace of mind that at lunch time my parents were eating a good meal and being looked after.
After a couple of weeks the manager said we can reduce the care to 30 minutes a day and this still worked.
Then my mum had a stroke and was in hospital for about 3 weeks, my Dad stayed at mine for a week but wanted to go back home, so I spoke with the manager and put a new package in place of 3 hours a day 7 days a week (breakfast, dinner and tea time) this worked very well, and Dad was fine at home.
It then came the time for Mum to come out of hospital, so she was to come home for a 1 hour visit with hospital, I spoke with the manager and a member of her team was present when mum came for her visit, and then the care package was upgraded again to meet my mum and dad’s needs.
Things were going well, but during the night became an issue so again I spoke with the manager and a night package was put in place which worked well for a few days, but it became clear more was required so I spoke with the manager re 24 hours live in care, and this was sorted out within a couple of days.
so, we know have a live-in carer and all is well
I have to say the service from the manager and all her team is 1st class

A big thank you to everyone at Sarah's Carers for all the care and support you gave to my father in law. Without your support he would not have been able to stay at his bungalow for as long as he did. You all took time to get to know him and to find out how he wanted things done. He was always very happy with the standard of care provided, as were all the family. You were a good support to us all. |
