Several of the staff from Bee’s Care looked after our mother from when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s until the time came for her to go into a care home. They were sensitive to mum’s initial reluctance to have carers in the home and did all they could to make her feel comfortable with that. They treated her with great respect at all times.
As well as the specific tasks of giving medication, doing safety checks and preparing meals etc., they also formed a real relationship with her so that she, and they too I feel, enjoyed the visits on a social level. They were genuinely sorry to see her go when it was time for her to move on.
They also went beyond the formal methods of record-keeping and communication with my sister and me. There was always an email if they felt there was something we needed to know right away, or just to share some good news with us.
They were very supportive of us too, recognising our difficulties and worries as well as mum’s. They were very good at advising us when we were unsure of what to do in certain situations and needed expert advice. In fact, they were considerably more helpful in this respect than the medical professionals that we had to deal with. Between them they clearly had an in-depth knowledge, both theoretical and practical, of mum’s condition and were particularly good at handling her more challenging behaviour as her condition deteriorated.
We have no hesitation at all in highly recommending them to anyone. |

Amazing company. Were very supporting and helpful to my Dad right from the start and right till the the end. My Dad could never praise them enough. They supported him through all his difficult times and assisted whenever he needed them. He had a good relationship with all the carers and never complained. Thank you. |
