Personal Choice Carers at Home

The staff at Personal Choice Carers at Home made a huge difference in the last eight months of his life when they provided care for my elderly father in law. From the first visit I had confidence that they would be reliable and turn up for the visits and offer him good care, and this proved to be true. The small size of the company meant that only a small number of different carers came round, with one person as the main carer. This helped him to feel secure as he soon got to know the different people. This also meant that they got to know his likes and dislikes. Communication between myself and the team was good, emails and phone calls or texts were always answered. Suggestions were offered for better ways of doing things and there was flexibility to find the times that suited him for the visits. Although it was difficult for him to rely on care he always said how lucky he was to have these carers.

Personal Choice Carers have an advantage over previous care agencies that i have had in the past as they are friendly and always make time for a chat, they do not rush me and do not watch the clock, and make me feel valuable in my own right. They always go that extra mile for me and make me feel special, more like a person and not just a service user.
