Home Instead Senior Care

When my father died, my siblings and I were very concerned that my mother, who has dementia, would not be able to remain living independently in her own home, even though this was her clear wish. That we all lived far away only made things more difficult. But we found Home Instead and, for the last four years they have provided kind, professional and reliable care for my mother so that she has stayed safely and contentedly at home, even though her needs have increased. With a very responsive and personal office administration, regular and thorough service reviews, genuine concern for continuity of care with regular CAREgivers who are matched to the client, and extremely reliable appointment times, and excellent communication in the case of any difficulties, the Home Instead service has been a huge relief for us, significantly reducing our anxiety and stress. As well as regular visits for personal and domestic care, the CAREgivers support my mother to attend health and personal appointments, and pick up on any unexpected issues which arise. We are confident that as my mother's needs continue to increase, as they most likely will, we will be able to turn to Home Instead for more support and they will meet these needs. My mother herself says her CAREgivers are excellent.

“We used this firm for over two years to provide companionship, light meal preparation, domestic assistance and latterly some personal care to our mother, until her increased care needs were such that admission to a care home became necessary. Had that not been the case, we would without hesitation still be using this firm. The services offered were delivered in such a way that our mother was able to stay in her own home for as long as she could, which was always her wish. Each carer brought their own skill set into her home. Some were more chatty than others, each providing mental stimulation as well as carrying out the tasks our mother asked them to. At times when family members were on holiday and additional care hours were sought, the firm always managed to provide that additional care from the pool of carers our mother knew. The admin around dates/hours worked and invoiced was slick and efficient, being sufficiently detailed to enable us to clearly reconcile each invoice submitted. Without this firm’s services, our mother would not have been able to stay in her own home for as long as she did.”

Home Instead Norwich have been providing care to my 89 year old Grandmother for over two years. This service has enabled her to maintain her independence and remain in her own home. The CAREGivers help with housework, meal preparation and take her out shopping. She receives visits from the same CAREGivers and enjoys the companionship she receives from them. We have been extremely happy as a family with the service she has received.
