Southdown Support

Southdown Support provides a Supported Living service for people with learning disabilities in 25 properties across Sussex & Brighton & Hove.

Supported Living means that individuals have a tenancy in their own self-contained flat, or in a shared house where they have their own room and bathroom and share the kitchen and living areas.

Each person&s individual needs are reflected in the variety of care and support we offer. This ranges from a limited number of hours support per week to those who have a need for a high level of personal care and have physical disabilities. Most of Supported Living schemes have a staff member sleeping in overnight. Increasing the lifestyle choices for all people with learning disabilities is a top priority for Southdown.&

We encourage service users to have confidence in their own abilities and work with them to overcome the challenges they face. The support we provide enables people with learning disabilities to live as independently as possible to achieve their goals. Southdown places high value on including service users and/or their families/advocates in all aspects of the Association&s work.
