Feb 25 2015 Over the last five years Care at Home (Shropshire) have been providing care for my elderly aunt. She is now aged 97 and is visited 4 times a day. I am always impressed by the carers' efforts to engage with my aunt, spend time chatting and persuading her to co-operate with them in putting on support stockings, dressing, undressing etc. on occasions when a problem has arisen they have always been prepared to wait with my aunt until help or a family member arrived. If the one of the carers has any concerns about my aunt's well-being they immediately contact their office for guidance and they ensure that someone is alerted. Carers will point out if drugs appear to be running out, ready meals are running low, or they have noticed other problems. Each visit is recorded which I find very helpful when monitoring my aunt's condition. Although she suffers from Alzheimer's she is still able to remain in her own home due to the conscientious and effective care provided by Care at Home.
