I have been a member of this practice for 50 years but my recent contact with the surgery was a terrible experience. Needing to discuss a problem I rang the GP surgery . If you get an engage tone you hang up and try again but they have changed their phone system so now you are put in a queue I was on hold for a total of 29 minutes and within this time I drove to the surgery which is not far from my home , my mobile still in the queue . I asked if their phones were working and was told yes. As I was at the surgery I hung up my mobile to find the call to the surgeries landline cost me £17.50. They are making ALL THEIR SICK AND OLD PATIENTS PAY PREMIERE PHONE RATES and Deliberately making them wait in a queue TO MAKE THE SURGERY MONEY. DISGUSTING. I told the receptionist this who did not care in the slightest, I asked to speak to the practice manager and the office manager who both were of sick . I asked to speak to or have the GP ring me neither of these things happened. I then asked for a copy of the surgeries complaints procedure several times only to be told NO The NHS HAS BANNED GP SURGERIES FROM USING PREMIERE RATE PHONE LINES BUT KILLOWEN SURGERY DOES IT ANYWAY AND THEY DO NOT INFORM THEIR PATIENTS OF THE EXTORTIONATE COST TO THEM SHAME ON YOU DR TRACY AND PARTNERS | ||||||
