Firstly you now have to plan to be ill. Appointments are a weeks waiting list. Phone on the day they say after 15 phone calls no appointments. My poor child has to suffer, a little child. Receptionist was extremely rude. Can I book for tomorrow, no. You can drag him out all the was up to cossington house. I don't drive and he really doesn't feel like being dragged about. What a shambles of a surgery | ||||||

I've been with the London Road surgery for a good number of years, but since the re-organisation of this surgery it seems it is no longer possible to get an appointment to see a doctor without waiting for a week or more.
I phoned to get an appointment and was just told that there was not any available, never mind if I was in pain or needing urgent advice, the lady on the phone was very abrupt, which I must say is very unusual as the majority of staff there are always very helpful. This Practice has the old fashioned charm and calm atmosphere of Doctor’s surgeries of yesteryear but with all the latest medical facilities.
No awful crowded noisey waiting rooms with impersonal automatic callers. All clinical staff greet you and lead you to their consulting rooms. The Nurse Practicioners are an added bonus as they are very knowledgeable and can prescribe and refer. Reception team are always very accommodating and I have never failed to secure a suitable appointment even when they are under pressure so be nice to them! Highly recommended.
