Awful , went there struggling with infertility after my miscarriage and was told to go on holiday with the spare time I had worrying about all of it , i promise you if I was older than 30 it would’ve been a different response. I was Denied a ultrasound and told “I can ask for one but you won’t need one at your age you’re fine” without any further checks or checks in general. That was months ago and I’ve had nothing every since. Now everytime I try to get an appointment I’m met with the same attitude and left with nothing | ||||||

Asked to visit by my surgery for check up with Nurse Practitioner. I was told that the computer system had highlighted stroke risk. Nurse Harman very welcoming and caring. Explained why I had been called in and carried out appropriate tests and checks. Felt that I needed to be seen by a Doctor the same day and got permission to use one of the available Clinical Support G. P. slots. Returned later that day and was seen by G. P. Hodges. gave me a thorough examination and arranged for a series of checks and also a referral to a Cardiologist. to update the care of my long term chronic condition. Exemplary care and consideration throughout. I felt calm and reassured in spite of my condition being worse than anticipated. | ||||||

I telephoned the surgery just after 8am and the friendly receptionist listened to my explanation of my problem and told me a doctor would contact me that morning which Dr. Shake (sorry if spelt wrongly) did and asked me if I would like to visit the surgery that morning which I did. He was so polite, interested and helpful and is referring me to the appropriate professionals for investigation. I did not feel in any way hurried. He also reassured me on my blood test results. I think the surgery is amazing - I read of all the horror stories in the press but I have always been able to speak to a doctor on the morning I ring, and when needed been seen. All the doctors are excellent and the receptionists and nurses helpful and friendly. We in Haverhill district are extremely lucky to have this practice. Thank you | ||||||
