Was insulted by an extremely rude member of staff for simply trying to stress my point in a polite manner. There seems to be a zero tolerance policy at this surgery of disagreeing with the reception staff even when they provide you with nonsensical information. I disagreed with this particular member of staff because she apparently knew me better than I did! She then told me that she was going to put the phone down on me. GP surgery’s should not be the place for narcissists but unfortunately this place employs them. |

The nurses are really helpful and friendly but the GPs are very rude and talk to you like you are stupid. |

The doctors and other staff at Watlington Medical Centre looked after both my elderly parents with the greatest of respect, compassion and care. Now, despite their ever increasing workload and the relentless pressure the GPs are under, I continue to receive an excellent standard of service to help me manage my myriad of medical and mental health conditions. Of course not everyone will ‘click’ with all of the clinical staff but I have had many positive experiences with brilliant doctors based at the practice. And there are some extremely understanding, kind and highly skilled Nurse Practitioners and Practice Nurses who can treat many conditions and offer reassurance to compliment the clinical team too. The reception staff are second to none, always lovely, always courteous and always helpful both on the phone and at the desk. We are also fortunate to have a well run pharmacy at WMC with very pleasant, polite and efficient staff. I hear so many horror stories from friends at other surgeries so overall think we are incredibly lucky to have this excellent practice in Watlington. |
