We have been at this surgery for a number of years, it does tend to get poor ratings, but our experience is that most of the reception staff are very good and go out of there way help us. This is not always the case with some staff sadly. The practice seems to struggle to retain GPs. There is a GP who is very good, but the experience we have had with other GPs can be variable. It can be difficult to get through on the phone, but thy do have an online appointment system and the same system you can re order prescriptions which is very helpful.
If you have mobility issues, it may not be the best practice for you as they only have one doctor based downstairs. If you let them know in advance, they will try to accommodate you however. Dr. Joseph has been with the surgery many years now, certainly since we took the caretaking contract in March 2016, and he will be staying there when the new contract holders take over on the 1st October. Dr. Sandhu (f) and Dr John (m) have also been there on a regular basis whilst we have held the contract. We have not used any short term locum staff, all have been from the clinical staff here at Fosse Medical Centre. I also thank you for your comments that acknowledge we are trying to give patients other options of communication, as we are aware that access on the telephone lines during busy times can be more difficult. If you have any queries, or would like any further advice about services, Sue Mason of the PPG is always kept up to date and is a willing method of contact for the surgery, or as always, the reception staff can help. Rude inflexible receptionists. Never seem to see the same doctor even when the issue is a response to medication prescribed by them. If I could find a different practice I would. No humanity think robots would be easier to deal with. | ||||||

Well after my last review in 2016 it seems that disabled patients are still badly treated.This is the second time its happened to me.I was told by a member of staff that I could see any doctor I would like even though I can't get up the stairs because the doctor will come down stairs to see me.So an appointment was made for today.When I arrived and booked in the receptionist said that doctor is up stairs I said yes but she is coming down to see me it should all be on the screen.Sat in waiting room watching all the patients come and go but still no doctor coming down to see me receptionist kept giving excuses,Finally after nearly an hour I was told to go and sit in nurses room and doctor will be with you soon.Doctor arrived and said sorry for keeping me waiting but seemed to of only just been told about me.Think its time you sorted this problem because it is discrimination towards disabled patients.
