It recently took me 3 days to finally get an appointment after using 2 phones at the same time to get through and once I finally did I was told there was no appointments left. Once I finally got an appointment the doctor made me feel so uncomfortable. I kept being asked what do I hope to get from the visit? What do I expect the doctor to do? I've never experienced it before in the end I just said I don't know I just want to know what's wrong and what are the treatments but I felt really under pressure and like I was ok trial never ever felt like that before so the doctor I saw I will make a point of never seeing again |

Both my husband and I are registered at Hazelmere. We are impressed with the quality of care and help given. As we are getting older, it is true we are indeed in need of our GPS more .The staff at Hazelmere have always been very good to me and I always remember my mom saying 'Treat people how you'd expect to be treated'. Common decency costs nothing and I/ we have no concerns about recommending Hazelmere to anyone. Paula,Debbie Sarah and Valerie in Admin are always very helpful. Keep up the good work. |

My husband has altziemers ,Parkinson's disease , impaired vision and hearing. I am his carer. My husband can not be left unattended as as you appreciate , I do wonder , that when I leave him a member of the family or close friend who understands him has to take over. There is no one available in the morning. My daughter arrives here at approximately 2.45 p.m. She has also to collect her son from work . He works shifts,6-00am to 4-oopm 4 days on and 4 days off. This limits my ability to carry out any tasks outside the home challenging. Recently have had very bad flare up of arthritis in my left hand. I have been taking paracetamols and ibuprofen to the point where it's now upsetting my stomach. I have in the past had a steriod injection to deal with this problem. I have tried to get an appointment but have found this impossible. After spending up to 30 minutes at 8-00am and not managing to get through until all appointments have gone, several times. I can not book an appointment at a suitable time for me, i.e. mid to late afternoon as you appear not to make them over the 'phone. When I asked what I could do I was offered a late morning emergency appointment. I had explained the above, did the person on the end of the 'phone listen? . It is not an emergency. Then I was told it was a 'phone consultation. I have been left in limbo, with a very painful condition. I don't feel a visit to A & E is a suitable solution, but I fully understand why people resort to this to get treatment. HOW DO I GET TREATMENT ? I guess I'll just to have to carry on , caring for my husband thereby saving the N.H.S. thousands, until I reach the point where I do turn up at A & E because I've tried to chop my hand off. That would be an A & E job. |
